2009 Ohio Splash Board of Trustees Host "FORGET YOUR FEAR" Fundraiser/Social event at
Union Cafe, on FRIDAY, MARCH 13th. 

Ohio Splash, the only local Masters Swim Team representing the promotion of swimming
for fitness and competition in the GLTB Community, will host, "FORGET YOUR FEAR," a
Martini-Night Fundraising and Social Event at Union Cafe, on Friday, March 13th, 2009. 
Starting at 8pm, Ohio Splash Members will gather for an evening of fun, celebrating
Ohio Splash as the Master's Swim Team that has represented Columbus, Ohio's GLTB
Community in regional, national and international competitive swimming events for over
ten years.  Ohio Splash has always been a member of IGLA (International Gay and Lesbian
Aquatics) and has consistently sent swimmers to IGLA Championships, The Gay Games, and
The World Out Games.  At "FORGET YOUR FEAR," Ohio Splash will be on hand to to provide
information about becoming a member of  Ohio Splash and to put the word out to the
community about The World OutGames, held in Copenhagen, The Netherlands, July 25, 2009
through August 3, 2009.

Ohio Splash has set short and long course goals for 2009.  Members of the team will
compete in a regional swim meet this Saturday, February, 28th, in Milford, Ohio.  In
addition to the Milford Meet and The World Out Games this July and August in
Copenhagen, Ohio Splash has targeted swim meets in Toronto (April), Cleveland (June),
and Philadelphia (Fall) for their 2009 Competition Calendar.  Ohio Splash welcomes new
swimmers and swimmers who never intend to swim competitively.  The swim team holds
three coached swim work-outs a week.  Through volunteering and participation, Ohio
Splash has always  supported the Columbus, Ohio GLTB community at large.  If you have
